Like most things in my life, Christmastime is a mixed bag. By the grace of God, the mix is becoming more glittery and less coal. I put my Christmas tree up for the third year in a row with a dear friend. I leave the lights on continuously because it's so nice to come home or wake up to a room already warm and cozy. Yesterday the old community group made lots of chocolately goodness together while watching Elf. I had the opportunity to explain Elf jokes to my three-year-old friend Tessa. Magical. Last night I went to the Park Ave Christmas tree lighting. Think of about 400 New Yorkers standing in the middle of the street singing Christmas Carols accompanied by an organ. Magical. It is something we use to do all together with Marcus, but now there's a new group of friends and new traditions forming.

I can't believe Christmas is so close! I have gotten all of my Christmas shopping done because I'm crazy, but as you are shopping for Christmas gifts please consider buying from either of these great organizations that support adoptions worldwide and specifically mine.
