Little Boy Ewing

With much celebration and joy, I share with you that I have received and accepted my official referral! In the next couple months I will be traveling to Africa to pick up my son.

This process has been different and quicker than I imagined. Fortunately my daydreams have never compared to God's actual plans - He ALWAYS one up’s me. This time He has blown my wildest dreams out of the water.

I submitted my dossier in August for a little girl with an estimated wait time of 12-18 months. I felt good, comfortable with that wait, but by Labor Day, I was asked to consider a little boy. The weeks that followed were full of so much information, even more questions, and prayer. I questioned my original expectations and found them to be unfounded. Then came months of waiting until finally the phone call saying that they had chosen me to be the mama to the cutest little boy I've ever laid eyes on.

Throughout history our Lord has used broken people and broken stories to bring about redemption. He truly makes beautiful things. I am humbled and overwhelmed with joy that he is allowing me to be this little boy’s mama. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement throughout this process. I have been overwhelmed with your all’s generosity. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Now begins the whirlwind preparation. I already have a 10 page to do list going. Here is how you can help:

1) Prayer: Pray for a quick and smooth process with travel planning and travel. Pray that during this time of waiting both of our hearts will be prepared to be a family.

2) Financial Support: It’s still possible to donate to ease some of the burden of the expense. My local church has paired with an organization, Lifesong, to financially support the adoption process. All donations will be tax deductible. They will continue to receive funds until I return home.

Lifesong is a trusted organization administering the funds on my behalf, and will pay adoption expenses out of funds received. Lifesong has been blessed with a partner that underwrites all U.S. administrative and fund-raising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.

-To pay online go to http://www.lifesongfororphans.org/give/donate. Select “Give to an Adoptive Family.” Complete the number” (Ewing #4538) to assure it goes to the correct account. Note PayPal charges an administrative fee (2.9% + $.30 USD per transaction). Your donation will be decreased by the amount of this fee.

- To pay via mail: Please mail check to:

 Lifesong for Orphans

Attn: Ewing/#4538

PO Box 40

Gridley, IL 61744.

Checks should be payable to “Lifesong for Orphans” with “Ewing #4538” adoption in the memo line.

NOTE: In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to the named non-profit organization. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use. Individual donations $250 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $250 will gladly be sent upon request. Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization.

• Buy coffee from my Just Love Coffee account (it's excellent coffee and for every bag you order they will donate $5 toward my adoption).

 3) Spread the word: Send my story to your friends, family, and community. Create awareness not only for my adoption needs but for the needs of orphans all over.

Thank you!
